How Fearless Uses AI in Our Hiring Process

At Fearless, we are committed to a hiring process that’s transparent, equitable, and human-centered. Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help us do that work more efficiently and fairly but it never replaces human judgment. Below, we explain how and why we use AI in our hiring process, and what that means for you as a candidate.

Our Approach: AI as a Partner, Not a Decision-Maker

We use AI tools thoughtfully and with humans always in the loop.

AI may help us draft, organize, or streamline parts of the process, but no AI system ever makes a final hiring decision at Fearless. Every hiring choice is reviewed and approved by real people who bring context, empathy, and judgment to the table.

How We Use AI

Here’s where AI may play a role in your candidate experience:
  • Job Descriptions & Outreach
    We sometimes use AI to help draft job descriptions or outreach messages. Our recruiting team reviews and edits everything before it’s shared, ensuring it reflects our voice and values.
  • Application Review
    We may use AI to organize applications or help anonymize certain candidate details (like name or address) to reduce bias in early screening. Humans always review and validate all results.
  • Scheduling & Communication
    To keep things running smoothly, AI may help with scheduling interviews or sending reminders. These tools exist to make the process faster and more convenient for you.
  • Interview Notes & Summaries
    When permitted, we may use AI tools to transcribe or summarize interview notes. This helps us capture accurate feedback and focus more on listening to you not typing.
  • Assessment Design
    Our teams may use AI as a brainstorming tool when creating interview questions or take-home assignments. All materials are reviewed and approved by humans before they’re shared with candidates.

What We Expect from Candidates

We encourage candidates to engage authentically and responsibly:
  • Be yourself. It’s fine to use AI for light support (like checking grammar or refining phrasing), but the ideas and experiences you share should be your own.
  • Be transparent. If we explicitly allow AI use on an assignment, we’ll say so. If you’re unsure, ask your recruiter for clarification.
  • Be fair. Using AI in a way that misrepresents your skills or experience isn’t aligned with our values or with a fair process. Be honest about your skillset, experience and how it aligns with the role you are being considered for.
